Villa Zefira
Amalfi Coast, Italy

Terraced into the cliffside near Capri's historic Piazzetta and town center, this whitewashed villa carries the island's classic architecture in arched windows and domed rooflines, stone ruins from an old tower standing at the edge of the grounds. Pine trees rise overhead, sea views opening across the Bay of Naples toward the hazy outline of the mainland.
Inside, the living room holds deep blue armchairs before a wall niche displaying a model yacht, terracotta tile underfoot and glass doors opening onto a small terrace. Bedrooms carry a quietly nautical thread throughout, one hung with a vintage speedboat print, another centered on a round bed beneath a Murano-glass chandelier, wood-beamed ceilings and mirrored walls adding depth to rooms that open onto their own private terraces. Black-and-white photography lines the hallway, colorful abstract art in the corridor beyond.
Outside, an ivy-covered pergola shades a stone courtyard, gravel paths curling past clipped hedges toward two separate pools set on their own terraces. Carved into the hillside below, a stone-vaulted spa holds a massage table and sauna beside a fully equipped gym, and a rooftop terrace with built-in bench seating looks out over Capri's rooftops and the mountain rising behind town. The quiet of the cliffside settles in above the lights of the harbor.
