When to Visit Turks and Caicos and What to Expect
The dry season runs from December through April, with steady trade winds, warm water, and the holidays and Easter the most in-demand weeks. From January through April, humpback whales migrate through the Turks Island Passage and can be seen from boats, particularly around Salt Cay and Grand Turk. May through July is warm, quieter, and good value. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with September and October the most active months, and some restaurants and properties close for part of the fall.

Luxury Villas in Turks and Caicos
Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of some forty islands and cays, only a handful inhabited, set on a limestone platform surrounded by reef and shallow water. Providenciales is the main island and the center of villa life, with low-rise development and no high-rise towers along its beaches. Tucasa’s Turks and Caicos villa rentals include beachfront estates on Grace Bay and Leeward, homes on the hills above Chalk Sound, villas on the kitesurfing beach of Long Bay, and retreats on private islands reached by boat. Each property is selected for its position on the water, its outdoor living space, and the team behind it.
Grace Bay and Leeward
Grace Bay is a long arc of white sand on the north shore of Providenciales, protected by the reef offshore and frequently ranked among the finest beaches in the world. The water is calm and clear, and snorkeling at Bight Reef begins just off the beach. To the east, Leeward is quieter, with a marina and a channel that leads to Little Water Cay, a nature reserve home to the islands’ endemic rock iguanas.
Chalk Sound, Long Bay, and the Outer Islands
In the southwest of Providenciales, Chalk Sound National Park is a shallow lagoon of startling turquoise scattered with small rocky cays, with homes set on the hills around it and the calm beaches of Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay nearby. On the south shore, Long Bay’s steady trade winds make it one of the Caribbean’s favorite kitesurfing beaches. Beyond Providenciales, Parrot Cay and Pine Cay are private islands, North and Middle Caicos offer limestone caves and the cliffs of Mudjin Harbor, and Grand Turk, home to the capital, Cockburn Town, preserves the islands’ colonial history.
Guests drawn to the clear water and private islands of Turks and Caicos often consider the neighboring archipelago as well. Tucasa's collection of villas in the Bahamas includes beachfront estates on New Providence and private retreats in the Exumas and Eleuthera.
Concierge Services and Private Experiences in Turks and Caicos
In Turks and Caicos, Tucasa’s concierge team arranges private boat charters to sandbars, Little Water Cay, and the reef, snorkeling and diving along the wall dives for which the islands are known, whale-watching excursions from January through April, and kitesurfing instruction on Long Bay. We coordinate private chefs working with conch, spiny lobster, and the islands’ fresh catch, luxury car rentals, airport transfers from Providenciales, wellness treatments at the villa, and reservations at the restaurants of Grace Bay. All arrangements are confirmed before you arrive.
