Can Rochelle
Mallorca, Spain

Set on the cliff edge above Cala Serena on Mallorca's south-east coast, Can Rochelle occupies one of the most singular plots on the island — frontline to the bay, with terraced gardens stepping directly down to the rocks and the Mediterranean. The property is the only villa in the Balearics with a private berth for yachts up to 25 metres, accessed from the inlet immediately below. Palma and the airport are forty-five minutes away by car; the village of Cala Serena sits a one-minute walk from the gate.
Built in 2013, the architecture is uncompromisingly modern — clean white volumes, full-height glazing, and a 25-metre living-room glass wall that drops fully into the floor at the touch of a button, dissolving the boundary between the interior and the pool terrace. An ancient 1,000-year-old olive tree anchors the entrance atrium, a deliberate counterpoint to the contemporary architecture around it. The villa stretches across 800 square metres on three floors, served by a lift.
Outside, the 4,200-square-metre grounds are landscaped as a series of garden rooms — stone-walled terraces, a rock waterfall, a lagoon-style pool set among the planting, and a heated outdoor whirlpool that runs year-round. Daybeds and shaded lounges are tucked into the gardens at every level, with a roof terrace above for sea views and an outdoor bar at pool level.
The interior offering is equally generous. A professional kitchen and formal dining area open to the terrace; a separate indoor lounge with pool table and bar overlooks the bay; a 3D cinema and a fitness room with sauna sit on the lower level. Six en-suite double bedrooms sleep twelve, anchored by a master suite with sunken bath and 180-degree sea views.
