Villa Delano
Mykonos, Greece

Villa Delano sits on a wide elevated plot above the bay, on the northern slope of Mykonos. The estate is built across a series of stepped terraces in honey-coloured dry-stone, with whitewashed Cycladic volumes set above and wide stone-flagged walkways connecting the spaces. Seven en-suite bedrooms are distributed across the main residence and adjacent stone wings.
The pool terrace is the principal gathering space. A long rectangular pool sits flush with a polished stone deck, edged with timber sun loungers and a low stucco banquette built into the retaining wall — finished with deep linen cushions and a pair of round volcanic-stone side tables. A second elevated terrace, set away from the house and reached by a stone path, holds a separate square jacuzzi cut into the deck, paired with bean-bag loungers and an open view across the bay.
The covered alfresco kitchen is a working room in itself: a long timber dining table for ten beneath a heavy reed-and-beam pergola, set against a traditional brick wood-fired oven and a granite fireplace built into the dry-stone wall, with patterned encaustic floor tiles laid beneath the table. A separate vaulted stone lounge with arched ceiling and original timber door anchors the lower level — a quiet daytime retreat. An indoor gym is fitted into one of the stone wings, with treadmill, elliptical, free weights, mats, and stability balls; full-height sliding glass opens it directly to the bay view.
Inside, the interiors hold to a clean, airy palette — exposed pale-timber beam ceilings, deep slip-covered linen sofas, a recessed fireplace in the main living room, and pale stone floors. Bathrooms are finished in tadelakt with vintage encaustic tile floors. The beach is a short drive; Mykonos Town is twenty minutes away.
