Villa Lazaros
Mykonos, Greece

Villa Lazaros sits on the cliffs above Agios Lazaros bay, on the south-west coast of Mykonos, with the open Aegean and the small island of Tragonisi in full view. The architecture is contemporary Cycladic in a sharp monochrome palette — sculpted white volumes, polished concrete floors, black framed picture windows pulled almost to the floor, and a quiet rhythm of pierced wall openings that frame the sea like a series of vertical paintings. Five en-suite bedrooms are distributed across the main residence.
The pool is the defining feature. A long infinity basin runs along the front of the villa, fitted with three pairs of teak-framed sun-lounger platforms set directly within the water — a design that turns the pool itself into a lounging space. A separate raised deck holds a square teak-framed jacuzzi, set against a low whitewashed wall that opens straight to the bay. At dusk, integrated lighting through the pierced wall and beneath the loungers shifts the terrace into something closer to a quiet open-air lounge.
The interior carries the same restrained palette. The main living room runs the length of the seafront facade — a long built-in plaster banquette in white linen with charcoal cushions, a hanging rattan chair at the corner window, raw-edge timber side tables, and an indoor dining table for ten in dark slip-covered linen and a single live-slab walnut top, lit by oversized woven black pendants. A separate alfresco dining terrace sits beside the pool with the same deep cushioned banquette set against the bay. The kitchen is open and minimal, with a black-stone island and recessed lighting throughout. Psarou and Platis Gialos beaches are within five minutes; Mykonos Town is ten minutes away.
