Villa Tripiti
Paros, Greece

Set in the open countryside of southern Paros, Villa Tripiti is a recently completed six-bedroom residence that draws the island's vernacular language directly into a contemporary plan. Hand-laid walls in Parian schist stone — quarried locally and stacked in the traditional dry-stone technique — anchor the property to the surrounding hillside, while the white-plastered interiors and clean rectangular openings keep the architecture distinctly modern. The position offers privacy without isolation: the beach at Tripiti is a short drive, the fishing village of Aliki ten minutes, and the harbour at Parikia twenty.
The architecture is single-storey and intentionally low against the landscape. The principal living areas open through wide doors onto a generous slate-paved terrace, where the outdoor program unfolds across a series of distinct zones. A rectangular pool sits at the centre, framed on one side by a built-in white-plaster banquette and reading nook recessed into the stone wall, deeply cushioned and wide enough to lounge on. A separate alfresco dining area beneath a carob tree is set up for long lunches, with a stone-clad outdoor kitchen tucked behind a low wall. Pithoi pots and architectural planting accent the terraces, and tussock grasses and wildflowers run from the gardens straight into the open countryside beyond.
The interiors continue the same restrained palette — pale walls, polished concrete and stone floors, tactile linen and natural-fibre upholstery, oak furniture, and woven pendant lighting. The kitchen is fully equipped and flows into an open-plan dining and living space that reads as one continuous room with the outdoor terrace.
Six bedrooms are distributed across the villa, each opening directly to a private corner of the garden or terrace.
