Villa Llum
Menorca, Spain

Set on Menorca's southern coast near the fishing village of Binibèquer, Villa Llum is a contemporary single-storey villa designed as a quiet Mediterranean retreat just moments from the island's clearest beaches. The position balances privacy with proximity — a short walk leads to the cove at Cala Torret and the white sands of Binibèquer Vell, with Mahón twenty minutes away by car and the airport fifteen.
The architecture is restrained and beautifully executed. A wide cantilevered roof terrace, supported on slender timber columns, shades a covered porch that runs the full length of the south facade. Behind it, full-height glass sliding doors retract entirely, dissolving the boundary between the open-plan living area and the pool terrace. The interior palette is calm and natural — pale walls, soft linen upholstery, terracotta accents, and selective contemporary art. A fully equipped kitchen flows into the dining area and a generous lounge designed equally for cosy film nights and long, sociable lunches.
Outdoor living is the heart of the villa. A large private pool stretches across the south-facing lawn, framed by sandstone paving, sun loungers, and shaded garden lounges with terracotta pots and architectural cacti. An alfresco dining area beneath the porch sits alongside the barbecue, ideal for long meals as the sea breeze comes in. Above, a rooftop terrace shaded by tensioned canvas pavilions catches the sunsets across the southern Menorcan horizon and the clear night skies that follow.
Four en-suite bedrooms sleep eight — two doubles and two twin rooms — each finished in soft, neutral tones with private bathrooms. The master opens onto its own terrace with seating. Air conditioning, Sonos sound, smart TV, table tennis, and a dedicated office area complete the practical setup.
