Villa Compass
Costa Rica

Set on a hillside above the Tamarindo bay, this stone-clad two-story home rises beneath tiled pergola roofs lined with solar panels, a compass medallion set into the circular drive at the entry. Palms and tropical greenery frame the approach, the stone facade settling quietly into the slope above the water.
Inside, the kitchen runs along a white waterfall island fitted with a professional-grade gas cooktop, glass doors opening toward the pool and the ocean beyond. Near the stairwell, a live-edge wood dining table sits beneath a woven pendant light, wood-tile floors carrying the eye toward a wall of ocean-inspired art. The primary suite holds a teal accent wall and a built-in media nook, sliding glass doors opening onto a private deck with sweeping views. Secondary bedrooms carry playful tropical artwork and their own mounted screens, sliding doors framing the greenery outside.
Outside, an infinity pool cantilevers over the jungle canopy, the bay and its scatter of sailboats visible in the distance. A built-in outdoor kitchen anchors a covered patio nearby, grey sectionals gathered for evenings spent watching the sunset over the water. A second covered lounge holds low seating with views stretching toward the harbor. The hillside quiet settles in above Tamarindo's distant lights.
