Chalet du Valais

Chalet du Valais rises in four levels on Aspen Ridge Drive, close enough to Mountain Village's core that the Meadows ski run starts about fifty feet from the door. Hiking trails and the Telluride Bike Park are just as close once the snow clears, and a free gondola carries the rest of the trip down to historic Telluride.

The ground floor keeps two ensuite bedrooms, one king and one queen, each opening onto its own balcony beside a wet bar for the end of the day. One flight up, past the garage and ski storage, a third king suite keeps its own ensuite too. The main living level gathers the house around a grand stone fireplace, cherry cabinetry and marble counters running the kitchen behind a breakfast bar for two and a dining table that seats eight, a balcony just outside for grilling with the view still in frame. The top floor holds a fourth ensuite bedroom, a queen room quiet enough to be its own retreat.

Tomboy Tavern and the Telluride Distillery are a short walk away in the Mountain Village core, and 221 South Oak and La Marmotte wait at the bottom of the gondola in town. Chalet du Valais spreads a household across four floors without losing the reason everyone came: the run right outside.
