Villa Boca
Los Angeles, CA

Set behind gates at the end of a long motor court, this newly built traditional home rises in white brick and black trim, its gabled roofline framed by hillside oak and pine. A detached guesthouse with its own balcony sits beside the pool, a sport court laid out along the back fence in blue and green.
Inside, a wood-floored entry hall runs past a glass-walled wine room toward a staircase in oak and black steel. The living room holds a marble fireplace beneath a coffered ceiling, opening through French doors to the yard. A cloud-shaped white chandelier hangs over the glass dining table, and the kitchen unfolds around a marble island with a breakfast table set beside it. Downstairs, a bar and lounge area holds a white grand piano beneath the stairwell. Upstairs, the primary suite pairs a vaulted ceiling with its own marble fireplace, a freestanding soaking tub set into a corner window, a glass-and-marble shower, and a glass-fronted walk-in closet built around a central island. A wallpapered office off the entry adds a quiet, book-lined corner to the plan.
Outside, a rectangular pool runs along a covered patio strung with overhead heaters, the sport court and lawn stretching toward the hillside beyond. The guesthouse balcony looks back over the water, a Brentwood property built for the rhythm of a full house, indoors and out.
