Villa Gayle
Los Angeles, CA

At the top of Gayle Drive in Tarzana, this modern estate steps down the hillside behind a wood-paneled entry and glass-walled facade, its geometric white volumes catching the valley light from every angle. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls erase the line between inside and out, framing the hills beyond from nearly every room. Six bedrooms and five bathrooms fill out the 4,300-square-foot plan, arranged for both quiet mornings and full-house gatherings.
Inside, porcelain floors run underfoot as a sculptural wall of mirrored spheres anchors the entry, and a dark wood-slat wall grounds the lounge just past it. The kitchen centers on a waterfall marble island under a cluster of geometric pendant lights, with integrated paneled appliances and gold-accented barstools pulled up for casual meals. A glass-railed staircase in pale wood climbs past a cascading chandelier to the bedroom level, where the primary suite opens onto its own deck through walls of glass, and a double-vanity bath finishes in book-matched stone with a curbless glass shower.
Outside, an infinity pool cuts along the hillside edge, its waterline dissolving into the canyon and valley beyond. A covered outdoor kitchen and bar anchor one end of the terrace, a fire pit and sectional lounge the other, all set against turf lawn and glass railings that keep the view uninterrupted. From this stretch of hillside, the Valley just keeps unfolding below — hazy gold at sunset, scattered with light by night.
