Guardsman Overlook

Guardsman Overlook sits inside Flagstaff Lodge, deep in Deer Valley, with ski-in/ski-out access straight onto Silver Buck Run. Inside, a wood-beamed, leather-paneled ceiling caps a living room lit by walls of glass, the Wasatch peaks framed between deep burgundy curtains and held there through every season, snow-covered or green.

A striped sectional and a shearling swivel chair gather around a live-edge coffee table, natural-toned wood carrying the same warmth into the kitchen, where a hammered copper farmhouse sink and a Wolf range sit beneath granite counters and a breakfast nook built for slower mornings. Two spacious bedrooms — one dressed in a red upholstered headboard and a mountain-facing desk — keep the sleeping quarters easy, and a third bedroom doubles up on bunk beds for the kids or a second family, built for groups without losing the quiet.

The private balcony holds the same view from outside — powder in winter, wildflowers by summer — and Flagstaff Lodge takes care of the rest: a hot tub and game room for the evenings, and a private shuttle to Park City's historic Main Street. Summer trades the run outside for Silver Lake Trail and the view from Sterling Express, but it keeps its shape either way, a quiet room to come back to no matter the season.
