Cabin Ridge

Cabin on the Ridge sits at the top of the San Sophia Range, positioned between Mountain Village and Telluride near the tree line and reachable only by gondola. The ride up sets the tone before the door even opens — 360-degree views that turn the arrival itself into the first part of the stay.

Inside, a modern kitchen centers on an island with seating for four, natural materials and smooth lines keeping the space streamlined. Floor-to-ceiling windows carry the mountain into the main living area, and a balcony just off it holds the view for a glass of wine at the end of the day. Two mirrored main suites offer dual-concept floor plans with their own ensuites — soaking tubs, steam showers, dual vanities — while a third guest bedroom keeps a king bed and a bunk room rounds out the house with a twin-over-king bunk.

The gondola puts Telluride and Mountain Village both within reach, whether that means shopping and dining in town, a beer at Stronghouse Brew Pub, or a table at Allreds for something more composed. Snowshoeing, sledding, and hiking trails fill the rest of the day, but the balcony at sunset is where Cabin on the Ridge asks to be remembered.
