Mountain Kingdom
Aspen, CO

Mountain Kingdom holds its ground on Hoosier Pass Road outside Breckenridge, pine forest and valley views filling the windows on every level. Classic mountain-cabin lines carry modern elegance through the whole house, from the two-story stone fireplace that anchors the great room to the wrought-iron chandeliers overhead in the dining room.
A built-in screen and sound system sit inside that stone fireplace wall, leather chairs and a deep couch facing it, and the main-floor primary suite opens just off the same room. The dining table seats eight beneath those iron chandeliers, a polished granite breakfast bar seats six more, and the open kitchen keeps whoever's cooking in the conversation. Upstairs, two more bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a king and three twins, each keep their own ensuite bathroom, while the lower level holds a fourth bedroom beside a game room built for staying up late: shuffleboard, a pool table, a three-stool bar, a kitchenette, and a sauna down the hall.
A separate apartment over the garage adds a fifth bedroom, sleeping six across two queens and two twins, with its own living room, kitchen and bath for a group that wants some distance. The breezeway between house and garage doubles as an outdoor kitchen, its grill and stone pizza oven backed by rocking chairs and the same mountain view. Out back, rustic stump seating rings a hot tub built for stargazing, the property private enough that the sky gets the last word.
