Villa Snow

Snow Mountain Lodge holds its place among the pines outside Breckenridge, stone and timber-beam construction carrying an authentic mountain-lodge look through every gable and window. Summer brings out a different side of the house, aspens turning the hillside green and the town's festival season just down the road.

A river-stone fireplace runs floor to ceiling through the great room, leather seating gathered in front of it beneath a wall of glass looking out at the trees. Heavy timber beams cross the dining room ceiling above a table set for six, and the kitchen behind it is built with enough counter and storage to handle a full house at once. The primary suite carries its own fireplace, a quiet spot for the coldest nights after the rest of the house has gone to sleep.

Downstairs, a wet bar and pool table turn the lower level into the spot for watching the game or closing out a night, and a deck off the main floor holds a hot tub with the same tree-line view. Close enough to walk into Breckenridge for its summer festivals and far enough into the pines to feel like its own retreat, Snow Mountain Lodge holds both sides of a mountain stay at once.
